The masterpiece that by itself would justify a visit to The Eglise des Dominicains (The Dominican Church), is La Vierge au Buisson de Roses, The Madonna in the Rose Bower painted in 1473 by Martin Schongauer.
The Dominican Church, was built at the end of the 13th century, on the model of the churches of the mendicant orders.
Inside, it is austere and luminous and very elegant. The early 14th century stained glass windows depict scenes from the life of Christ.
